OAAAQA receives a number of MA students at the Arab Open University, Sultanate of Oman branch

On Sunday, 25 September 2022, the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) received a number of MA students in Educational Leadership and Educational Technology at the Arab Open University, Sultanate of Oman branch; to be acquainted with OAAAQA, its competencies, and the policies regulating its research activities.
 
The visit included a meeting with Her Excellency Dr Jokha bint Abdullah Al Shukaili, CEO of OAAAQA, who welcomed the students and appreciated their interest in learning about OAAAQA’s activities and its policies in empowering researchers, which stems from OAAAQA’s strategy related to this aspect. After that, Ms Ghalia Al Balushi, Deputy Director General for Planning and Development at OAAAQA delivered a presentation on OAAAQA and its organisational structure, and the activities and processes for ensuring the quality of higher education and school education. The National Qualifications Framework in the Sultanate of Oman and the policies governing research activities in OAAAQA were also introduced.
 
The meeting concluded with an open discussion, during which many inquiries were raised about OAAAQA. Dr Nasser Al Hinai, Director General of Planning and Development (DGPD) and Acting Director General of the Centre for Higher Education Quality Assurance (CHEQA), and Ms Fakhria Al Habsi, Director General of the National Qualifications Framework (DGNQF), and Dr Thuraya Al Hosni, General Director of the Centre for School Education Quality Assurance Center seconded (CSEQA), participated in the discussion alongside HE Dr Jokha bint Abdullah Al Shukaili.
