OAAAQA holds a training workshop for a HEI on IQA Process

On Wednesday, 5 October 2022, the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education held a training workshop for Oman College of Health Sciences (OCHS) on institutional quality audit (IQA) process. The training workshop aimed to enable the cadres of HEIs involved in the quality audit process to enhance their knowledge of the audit process and its requirements, and to raise their inquiries about the procedures of the quality audit process. Twenty participants from Oman College of Health Sciences attended the workshop. 
 
The training workshop commenced with a welcome speech and an introduction to OAAAQA’s vision and mission, and its role in ensuring the quality of higher education in the Sultanate of Oman, presented by Mr Khalid Al Balushi, Panel Support Officer, in preparation for the next sessions presented by Dr Nasser Al Hinai, Director General of Planning and Development and Acting Director General for the Centre of Higher Education Quality Assurance (CHEQA) and Dr Khalid Al Muharrami, higher education consultant, in which they discussed a number of topics, the most important of which are: OAAAQA’s role in IQA process, conducting a self-study process and preparing a portfolio, including the ADRI analysis method, and details of the audit visit and how to prepare for it. 
 
The workshop concluded with giving the participants the opportunity to raise inquiries related to IQA process, and clarify matters associated to it.
