The Board of the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) held its fifth meeting of 2022 on Monday 31 October 2022. The meeting took place in the Minister’s office at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI).
The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency, Professor Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqi, the Chair of the OAAAQA Board. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the procedures of the Centre of School Education Quality Assurance (CSEQA) in OAAAQA on the project of developing a system for the evaluation of the school education. Dr Thuraya Al Hosni, Director General of CSEQA (Seconded) and Mr Man’a Al Shidi, Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, delivered a presentation to the Board, during which they discussed about the status of project implementation and its imminent plans, OAAAQA’s plan on preparing pilot processes, and the most prominent potential challenges of implementing the system.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Dr Jokha bint Abdullah Al Shukaili, CEO of OAAAQA, Dr Rima bint Mansoor Al Zadjaliy - Deputy Chair, Prof Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Harrasi, Prof Suleiman bin Mohammed Al Balushi, Dr Zuwaina bint Saleh Al Maskari, Dr Ahmed bin Salim Al Abri and Dr Ammar bin Mohammed Al Ojaili.
