On Sunday 22nd May 2022, Dr Thuriya Al Hosni (Acting Director General of the Centre of School Education Quality Assurance gave a presentation on “Inclusion and Response to Diversity”. It is one of the professional development programmes CSEQA is keen to provide for the staff in preparation for the next phase of the school evaluation framework project.
The presentation highlighted the definition of inclusion and its historical development. It focused on the importance of its implementation on education and its connection to international agreements and Oman Vision 2040. In addition, it focused on the challenges to overcome in order to provide an inclusive education that is based on quality, fairness and equity.
It is important to note that CSEQA holds a weekly meeting to discuss the work updates and to continue the preparation for the next stages of implementation.
