Directorate General of Planning and Development organized an introductory seminar and training workshop on the International Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (ISGs), as a part of the (OAAAQA) endeavor to achieve alignment with standards and requirements of (INQAAHE), which is a global network of agencies in Quality Assurance in Higher Education established in 1991. Dr. Susanna Karakhanyan, Immediate Past President of INQAAHE on Monday, held by, the Seminar 19th of December 2022, at the Authority's headquarters. The seminar included two sessions; an introductory session on the new standards and guidelines of the network, attended by Her Excellency (CEO) of OAAAQA and the General Managers and Directors of Departments. In this session, Dr.Susanna talked about the mechanism followed by INQAAHE in developing the international standards and guidelines, which will be effective from 1st of January 2023 and will be mandatory from 1st of June 2023 for all members who wish to undergo the network review.
The second session was a workshop conducted by, Dr. Susanna for the employees of the General Directorate of Planning and Development and the Center for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, during which international standards were further identified, with clarification of the fundamentals and requirements of self – assessment, the Network's submission mechanism and a number of related topics.
