The Board of the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) held its sixth meeting of 2022 on Sunday, December 25, 2022. The meeting took place in the Minister’s office at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI).
The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency, Professor Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqi, the Chair of the OAAAQA Board. The agenda covered a number of items including – among other things- Discussion of the Programme Standards Assessment (PSA) Manual, the qualifications delivered by the Oman Medical Specialty Board, the revised draft of the Schools Assessment System, and the executive plan of launching the system by 2023. The Board also has reviewed the updated report of External Quality Assurance Activities of Higher Education Institutions. Board members also signed The Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form for the institutions that will be subject to review in the year 2023 as per OAAAQA policy.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Dr Jokha bint Abdullah Al Shukaili, CEO of OAAAQA, Dr Rima bint Mansoor Al Zadjaliy - Deputy Chair, Prof Suleiman bin Mohammed Al Balushi, Dr Zuwaina bint Saleh Al Maskari, and Dr Ahmed bin Salim Al Abri.
