OAAAQA launches the school evaluation piloting phase

22 Dec 2022

On December 18th 2022, the school evaluation piloting phase was launched and lasted for two weeks. It was implemented on ten government and private schools from four different educational governorates, which are Muscat, Al Batinah North, A'Dakhiliyah, and Musandam. The piloting phase included multiple visits like the preliminary visit that is conducted by the team leader before the external review visit to assure the school's readiness for evaluation, followed by the school evaluation visit. During the reviewing visit days, the quality assurer conducts a visit to the school to ensure the external reviewing process's quality. After the visit, OAAAQA sends a detailed report to the school to identify the school's strengths and the best recommendations to improve the school's performance.

After the implementation of the school evaluation piloting phase, the Centre for School Education Quality Assurance will update all its documents and procedures based on the findings of the piloting phase and the feedback gathered from the questionnaires distributed to the stakeholders such as school leaders, school staff, students, parents and the educational community.
