Dr. Hilal Al Nabhani works currently as the Head of Department of Psychology in College of Education in Sultan Qaboos University  since 2009 until now. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Hull in the UK in 1996.

Other academic positions held by Dr. Hilal Al Nabhani are Deputy Head of the Planning Department in the Ministry of Education (1977-1980), Teacher in Ministry of Education in Al Basheer School (1984-1986), Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Psychology in College of Education in Sultan Qaboos University (2001-2009) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology in College of Education in Sultan Qaboos University (2009-present).

Dr. Hilal has carried out many academic activities in the university in the early stages of his career as a lecturer including teaching (undergraduate and graduate courses), postgraduate supervision, participation in course development and academic supervision. He has also published a number of articles in scientific journals and research papers. He has actively participated in scientific conferences.
