In preparation for commencement of the implementation of the Oman Qualifications Framework (OQF), the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA) held a meeting with HE Prof Rahma Al Mahrooqi, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and innovation on Sunday, 12 March 2023, at the Ministry headquarter. The meeting aimed to discuss the relationship between licensing of Academic programmes and Listing of qualifications on the OQF. The meeting has yielded to a number of suggestions and recommendations which may significantly contribute to the unification of efforts between MoHERI and the OAAAQA in this area.
The meeting was held in the presence of HE Dr Jokha Al Shukaili, CEO of OAAAQA, Ms. Fakhriya Al Habsi, Director General of the Directorate General of the National Qualifications Framework, Ms. Margaret Cameron, the OQF Consultant and Mr. Muatasim Al Amri, National Qualifications Framework Officer.
