The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAAQA), represented by the Directorate General of the National Qualifications Framework (DGNQF), held two capacity building workshops on Listing Qualifications on the Oman Qualifications Framework (OQF) during the period from 21 to 30 October 2024. These two workshops were attended by 48 representatives from: Ministry of Defence, NIZWA: The Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences (SQAPS), Majan Education, Al Byan Institute For Training, Higher Judicial Institute, Arab Omani Training Institute, SASLO Legal Training Center, Kudos, Oman Royal Police, University Of Technology And Applied Sciences, Specialist Center for Professional Training of Teachers and College of Shari’a Sciences.
The workshops’ programme included a detailed explanation of the process of Listing qualifications on the OQF and different interactive activities were conducted during the workshop to enrich the participants' skills in the Listing process. In addition, the attendees participated in writing Learning Outcomes, Assessment Criteria as well as evaluating modules against the OQF Level Descriptors to determine the OQF Level and the OQF Credit value.
