Dr. Ahmed Masoud Al Kindi

Dr. Ahmed Al Kindi worked in academic, research, administration, quality assurance, and technical posts in higher education as well as industry for over twenty years.

He worked at the Sultan Qaboos University between 1991 and 2009 serving in various posts including as Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department (College of Science), and Director of the University’s Computer Centre, during which he served in major University, College, Department Boards and Committees including the University’s Academic Council as well as the College of Science Board.

In 2009, he moved to the Higher College of Technology in Muscat where he headed the Information Technology Department until 2011. Then, he Joined the University of Nizwa and served as Dean of College of Economics, Management and Information Systems until January of 2017. Prior to all that, he worked for four years in Gulf Air (Kingdom of Bahrain) from 1987 to 1991 as a Computer Programmer.

Dr. Ahmed Alkidi is a registered Quality Assurance Auditor where in the past few years he collaborated and worked with OAAA, Ministry of Higher Education, and the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain to review and audit academic programs and Higher Education Institutions.

His research areas and interests include Parallel Processing, Performance Optimization, and Performance Prediction.

Dr. Ahmed Al Kindi obtained his Bachelor Degree from the University of Miami, USA, Master Degree from Florida Institute of Technology, USA, and a Doctorate Degree from the University of Warwick, UK.
