Dr. Talal Al-Wahaibi is currently serving as the Dean of the College of Engineering at A’Sharqiyah University. Prior to that, Dr. Al-Wahaibi was the Director of Innovation Sectors at the Industrial Innovation Center (IIC), a governmental company under Madain. He took the lead to develop selected industrial sectors through innovation. Since 2018, he worked to develop number of industrial sectors such as fisheries, marble and mining sectors. Dr. Al-Wahaibi also worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering and the Assistant Dean in the Deanship of Research at Sultan Qaboos University. Dr. Al-Wahaibi’s research interests are in the area of two-phase flows for energy and process engineering applications. He has around 100 scientific publications in these fields. He served as main supervisor/co-supervisor for 13 M.S. students and 7 PhD students. Al-Wahaibi holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, an MS degree from the University of Tulsa and a PhD degree from University College London in chemical engineering.
